We cut down the tree in our front yard so now it looks really REALLY different. The stump just looks so empty.
Last week was spring clean up and we got rid of a lot of stuff. A couch, a big chair, some old car seats that we’re not allowed to have foster kids in, a bunch of toys we don’t use any more, and all of the tree branches. Our pile was the biggest on the street!

Yesterday we got a new foster kid. Her name is Brontae she is seven years old and really nice. She and Ellen have been playing a lot, and Ricky loves to follow them around. Of course, it drives them crazy though. Brontae has been very nice about playing with Ricky.
When we were at co-op Mom, Ellen and Ricky left to go get Brontae at the children’s shelter. Mom took Ricky home and dad came home to watch Ricky while she and Ellen went to go get Brontae.

Ricky is still doing OT (Occupational Therapy) with mom. One of the things she’s doing for that is really loud noises suddenly. This is the part the rest of us dislike so much. Mom bought a boat horn and will honk it ten times a day. The loud noise startles Ellen, Claire and I but Ricky just laughs. He is supposed to show annoyance or fear.
Another OT thing is strong smells. Mom has Ricky smell things like old milk and vanilla. The last thing she’s doing for his OT right now is rubbing really soft and really ruff cloths on his arms. She does this because he doesn’t react to having something like sand paper rubbed on his arms.

Claire, Ellen and I are working on making model solar systems with solar system kits. It’s really fun and when we’re done I will try and post pictures.
Well I better get back to our crazy life! Ta Ta!
Love Madelyn
